How to get rid of the extra language and subtitle from an MKV file withouth touching the video. (blue ray MKV)?
I do not only want to turn them off, i want to remove them permanetly from the video file (MKV). ty
Download http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVtoolnix and run mkvmerge GUI, and then drop your MKV into the Input Files area. Under “Tracks”, you should see all the video, audio, and subtitle tracks. The subtitles usually start with S_TEXT/UTF8… or something like that. Uncheck all the boxes for the things you don’t want, and then at the bottom, choose your output filename/location, then click “Start Muxing”. This should make you a new .MKV file without re-encoding (or harming) the video or audio tracks.
